Camera obsession

I'm becoming obsessed with my camera. I spend hours each day wondering whether I need to buy various accessories for the camera. Included in the possibilities:

• Lens Filters. This one is actually consuming a lot of brainpower. Do I need one? Which kind do I need? How much am I willing to spend? Will they actually protect the lens? What if I get a cheaper one?
  
• Lenses. This is more of a window shopping situation. Although I did buy one lens which I hope will help me take better photos indoors (see christmas indoor photos for evidence). Some sites provides graphs of the lens's optical qualities. If I don't stop myself soon I might actually come to understand what they mean.
  
• Tripods. My current tripod, to put it mildly, sucks. Imagine what it would be like if bill gates were to drive a Pinto. That's kind of the situation here. I paid $10 for it and was not worth it. The thing wobbles and does not have any sort of system for balancing the camera. Although it seems ok when I use the camcorder on it, oddly.
  

It's getting to the point where I might just carry it around with me all day, give it hugs, and pet it. The number of silly photos of my cats is approaching an astronomical number.

Todd called me at 4pm to ask for my mailing address. We are getting together to exchange christmas gifts at 6pm. I am just noting that here so that my blog entry tomorrow will be even more entertaining.

Let's go back to the camera for a moment. I forgot to mention that I am wondering whether I need an expensive flash. I don't like flashes, and I don't know what I would do with one, but there it is.

Speaking of frivolous purchases, this amazon prime situation is pretty interesting. Either it is the greatest thing since sliced bread or it is evil incarnate. I am ordering lots of things from amazon. I just ordered two $5 polo shirts. I can't decide if belonging to prime is good because I can get anything I want for a low price within 3 days, or if it's bad because I can get anything I want for a low price within 3 days.

Basically, 2 months from now I am going to have amassed a debt that would rival Delta airlines.
